Care for the elderly continues to be a key theme of the general election as campaigning gathers momentum.
The Liberal Democrats have already put the issue of care at the forefront of their manifesto, with the other two parties also now touching on the issue.
The government says it is keen to provide free care to the elderly but has so far refused to offer funds for those issues it believes are a matter of personal care.
Meanwhile, the Conservatives have described Labour's existing care structure as confused and sought to capitalise on the issue by making changes to the pensions industry.
Yesterday the Tories unveiled plans for a major overhaul of the pensions sector, pledging to boost contributions to those saving for their old age.
